Mission & Philosophy

Unlike most major religions, we feel pagans are often left without community to celebrate and honor the natural cycles of life and death, or even meet simple day to day needs because there aren't many pagan "churches" to offer support. We aim to correct this gap in our communities, where pagans are free to exist and worship on their own terms without being pressured by other religions just to receive essential services.

Our mission is to offer support for our growing membership across the world where we can encourage the establishment of public satellite temples/groups, providing guidance and structure, clergy training, and a directory of pagan-friendly services.

While our board of directors and core membership are Hekate devotees, the Hekate Soteira Pagan Spiritual Temple is open to all backgrounds. We celebrate the changing of the seasons together with pagans of all paths both online and in person. These celebrations are open to anyone who wishes to attend with an open and respectful heart. Our main sacred space is currently located on a private lot of 14 acres in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, only 30 minutes outside of Winchester, Virginia. We also have a public shrine and altar for prayer just outside of Winchester inside Raven's Eye Esoterica at the Shen-Valley market.

We lead our members in modern worship, deepening the connection to Hekate, understanding Her vastness, and ultimately, to a vibrant faith. We follow an agreed upon code of ethics where we reflect the guiding light of Her torches to all with care and respect, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality or age.

Our philosophy stands strong: Shine a loving light and leave people better than how you found them. Hail Hekate!
